The dedicated-server API lets you inspect offers, estimate monthly pricing, prepare a quote and track a server you ordered. It automates lifecycle operations, but it does not turn hardware into hourly rental or reserve a machine when you check stock. Availability and delivery timing depend on the offer and its current state.
If you are still comparing configurations, first check what to verify before choosing a dedicated server: CPU, memory, drives, network, lead time and total cost.
Before preparing an order
Use the public OpenAPI reference to check current request schemas and permissions. Your key must have the required permission; do not ask for extra access to avoid reading the docs. Catalogue and estimate operations use maquinas:leer. Issuing a quote and preparing an order require facturacion:pedir.
1. Check the offer, configuration and price
The flow starts with these operations:
GET /api/dedicated/v1/catalog/returns models, estimated stock and prices.POST /api/dedicated/v1/options/checks the options available for an offer.POST /api/dedicated/v1/estimates/calculates monthly pricing for a configuration.
The two POST requests for options and estimates query or calculate data; they do not purchase or reserve hardware. An estimate is not the exact temporary quote. Check the fields required in OpenAPI and send only options currently supported by the offer.
2. Prepare the quote and payment
Once the configuration is clear, POST /api/dedicated/v1/quotes/ issues a temporary quote for your account. Then POST /api/dedicated/v1/orders/ prepares a monthly order and a Stripe Checkout link, with the contract accepted and installation selected. POST /api/dedicated/v1/orders/{order_id}/checkout/ retrieves the current link if you need to open Checkout again.
These requests do not replace the customer’s confirmation: payment is completed in Checkout. Only confirmed payment authorizes automatic provisioning. Check the configuration, billing period, extras, price, contract and delivery estimate shown in the panel before paying. The rental is monthly with a one-month minimum; cancellation or deletion later does not prorate or refund a month already paid.
3. Track delivery and installation
Use GET /api/dedicated/v1/orders/{order_id}/ to check the order and its server identifier when available. GET /api/dedicated/v1/servers/ and GET /api/dedicated/v1/servers/{server_id}/ show your dedicated servers and available details; the IP appears only after verification. GET /api/dedicated/v1/operations/{operation_id}/ tracks an operation without running it again.
To configure the first installation, read GET /api/dedicated/v1/servers/{server_id}/installation/, then POST to that route with a supported operating system and an SSH public key. Never send a private key. Initial installation is different from reinstalling a server that already contains data.
4. Treat reinstall and termination as destructive actions
Reinstallation requires dedicados:reinstalar: first request a preview from /reinstall-preview/, check which disks will be erased, then confirm the next step with its temporary token. Termination is also a two-step action: dedicados:cancelar, a preview at /terminate-preview/, then confirmation at /terminate/. Termination stops renewals at the end of the paid period; it does not erase the disks today, cancel the current month or issue a refund.
The reference also documents reboots (dedicados:reiniciar) and a temporary remote console when supported by the hardware (dedicados:consola). Permissions are separate so a catalogue-only key cannot accidentally reinstall or terminate a server.
Verify the result
Do not infer that a server is purchased because it appears in the catalogue, or delivered because an order has a Checkout URL. Track the order and operation, and wait for the panel to verify the IP and capabilities. The Hostbrid API page summarizes interfaces and permissions; the dedicated server page shows the current commercial offer.
Endpoints, schemas and permissions can change: check the API reference again before running a real operation. This guide does not guarantee stock, future pricing or a fixed delivery time.
