Open source, no proprietary layer
The stack is standard: KVM virtualisation, distributed storage on NVMe and one VLAN per customer. No closed development in between.
Clustered KVM virtualisation
Full KVM virtual machines, not containers dressed up as a VPS. The cluster is fault tolerant: if a node dies, yours starts on another without you asking.
Distributed storage
Every block lives on more than one node, on NVMe. Swapping a failed disk means no downtime and no restore from backup.
Segmented network
Each customer in their own VLAN, behind a perimeter firewall. Traffic does not cross at layer 2.
Our own authoritative DNS
ns1 and ns2.hostbrid.com answer from our infrastructure, not a third party’s DNS.
Continuous monitoring
Nodes, disks, services and certificates watched around the clock, with alerts reaching the on-call team.
Out-of-band backups
Backups are not kept on the machine they protect, nor on the same storage.
What we do not have
These are the capabilities we do not cover. Written down, not inferred from an icon on a web page.
