Which web hosting offers the best value?
It depends on the resources you need and how long you are willing to prepay. For a small website or WordPress site, this comparison looks at two published entry plans: Hostbrid Sites Starter and Hostinger Premium. We have not independently tested performance or support. Figures were checked on 9 October 2026 against the linked pages; offers and prices can change.
| Factor | Hostbrid Sites Starter | Hostinger Premium (US pricing page) |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | €2.99/month; monthly or annual billing options | $2.99/month average on a 48-month term, paid as $143.52 upfront |
| Published renewal | Hostbrid says the price does not increase on renewal; confirm the billing cycle and total at checkout | $10.99/month on the pricing page consulted; introductory rate requires a 48-month term |
| Websites | 3 | 3 |
| Storage | 5 GB NVMe | 20 GB SSD |
| Backups | Weekly | Weekly |
| Domain and email | Use your own domain (registration and renewal billed separately); Starter includes 5 mailboxes | Domain free for 1 year; 2 mailboxes per website free for 1 year under the plan terms |
| Billing commitment | Published monthly price; no setup fee or lock-in | $143.52 upfront for the first 48 months, then renewal at the published rate |
Sources: Hostbrid plans and pricing, Hostinger US pricing. The Hostinger monthly figure is an average of a $143.52 upfront payment, not a flexible monthly bill. If its published renewal price stayed the same for another 48 months, the arithmetic total would be $143.52 + (48 × $10.99) = $671.04 across eight years; this is an illustration, not a promise of future pricing. Hostbrid at its published monthly rate would total €143.52 across 48 months, subject to the billing option selected at checkout. These figures use different currencies and regional catalogs; they are not converted into a direct FX comparison. Domain renewals, paid email, add-ons and applicable taxes may be extra.
Which plan fits your situation?
- You need more entry-level storage: Hostinger Premium lists 20 GB SSD and a first-year domain offer, but the promotion requires four years prepaid and renews at a higher published rate. Estimate the full period you expect to keep the site.
- You do not want to prepay four years: Hostbrid publishes Starter at €2.99/month, with 5 GB NVMe, three sites and weekly backups. It has less storage; check a larger plan if your site needs it.
- You host several small websites: both plans list three websites. Check whether limits refer to site installations and how resources are shared; a site count does not mean unlimited resources.
- You run a busy store, need professional email or custom server software: entry plans may not fit. Compare CPU and memory limits, processes, staging, restorable backups, support and email costs. A VPS gives server control but requires technical administration.
A practical way to compare value
- Add the initial payment, renewals and extras over your expected ownership period. Do not multiply only the promotional monthly average.
- Check storage type and capacity, backup frequency and restore process, SSL, databases, site limits and included support.
- Treat hosting, domain and email as separate costs. A domain included for one year says nothing about its renewal price; email may be a separate subscription.
- Match the technical responsibility to your skills. A low-cost VPS may cost more in operations time, while shared hosting may be enough for a small WordPress site.
- Confirm currency, taxes, minimum term, renewal rate and cancellation terms at checkout before paying.
Verdict: there is no single best-value host for every site. In the pages checked, Hostinger lists more storage and a temporary domain offer in exchange for a long prepayment and a higher renewal rate. Hostbrid publishes a more predictable monthly amount and NVMe storage, with less storage than Hostinger and five mailboxes included on Starter. Choose on total cost, resources and billing flexibility; review Hostbrid’s current plans and confirm Hostinger’s current offer before ordering. Prices are regional: the USD and EUR figures above should not be compared as if they were the same market.
