Your mobile app needs a backend. Run it here.

The app installed on an iPhone or Android device lives on that device. The server runs its API: sign-in, data, purchases, notifications and jobs that must keep working when the app is closed.

Projects

Projects: connect a Git repository and publish a Node.js service or container. It is a direct option when your backend starts from the repository and you want Git deployments. Backend services need a paid plan with service resources.

VPS

VPS: get a virtual machine with root access to install and operate your backend, Docker Compose, proxy and tools. You get more control and take care of the operating system, updates, security and backups.

What you host—and what you do not

The server receives HTTPS calls from the app and returns data. You can run an API supported by the selected runtime and connect the services your code needs. The iOS/Android app is built and submitted to the App Store or Google Play separately; Hostbrid hosts the backend, not the store listing.

Flutter and React Native build the client app; its API can use a backend such as Node.js or Python. The app store does not host your API. Keep private credentials on the server, never in the installed app, where users can extract them.

Before release, check

  • The app calls a public HTTPS URL, not localhost.
  • The API checks identity and permissions on every request; hiding a screen in the app does not protect data.
  • Secrets stay in service variables or on the VPS, never in a public repository or mobile binary.
  • The database, uploaded files, backups and transactional email are separate parts: confirm which services your app uses and where each piece of data lives.
  • Measure CPU, memory, storage and traffic before sizing; app downloads are not the same as simultaneous requests.

Deploy and manage with AI assistance

You can inspect Hostbrid’s public API and connect an MCP-compatible AI client to manage services allowed by your key. API/MCP manages hosting resources; it does not replace your backend code or promise to deploy every mobile app automatically. Check permissions and available actions before automating.
